Summary:
I worked with The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation to partner with the Detroit Boxing Gym , a free after-school academic and athletic program that provides Detroit students with the tools they need to succeed.

Together we transformed DBG’s outdoor space into a multi-functioning athletic facility and educational center that can be safely used year round.

Activation Description:
The space consisted of seven distinct spaces with the goal of amplifying the outdoor recreation space to meet the various athletic and educational needs of DBG students, while providing an immediate solution for outdoor use as indoor facilities face lockdowns and restrictions due to COVID. The spaces included:

• Pavilion
• Ice Skating Rink
• Rec area & Community Garden
• Basketball Court
• Van Parking
• Secure Storage
